Had a great time sailing, snorkeling, and hiking around the beautiful island of Maui. From what I’ve been told, it’s a much slower pace than Oʻahu which is the main tourist destination for Hawaii. The Valley Isle, Maui’s nickname, is covered in lush national park land which is perfect for hiking at almost any time of day.
A little teamwork goes a long way. When one of the crewmen got slapped in the head with a flying rope they asked if anyone wanted to lend a hand. I figured that this was about as close to being a pirate as I’ll ever get so there was no hesitation on my part. These guys do this 8-16 hours a day during the high season. That’s a lot of work and a lot of fun in the sun. In fact, the captain has been doing this for over 20 years.
This trip was a real game changer for me. I’ve spent so many hours of my life chasing goals that I needed a reminder of just how amazing the world is when you stop to take a look around.
